New Dog Warden Emergency Contact Details
From the 6th April 2008, The Clean Neighbourhood and
Environment Act 2005 placed sole responsibility for stray dogs with the
local authority (council).
As a result, from this date, the police will no longer be able to
accept stray dogs brought into the police station. Equally,
officers will no longer attend incidents of stray dogs. In both
cases, the local authority have provision to deal with stray dogs,
whether this be a report of a stray dog or one that has been caught.
In order to either report a stray dog, or hand one over in person,
