Sorry for the long post but please read to the end......
Hi guys we have some very exciting news for you, our Elsa has been adopted YAYYYYYY!
First of all can we say a huge paws up and thank you to everyone who donated, fetched, carried, sent our beautiful girl stuff when she needed it. We say our and that includes you because a little bit of Elsa's spirit will always be with you guys who did so much to help her through.
Now let us explain what happened as some of you super sleuths noticed the change in back ground straight away. Yes she was moved to another foster home. This was because she took a dislike to one of the other permanent dogs there. Her foster mum had to make the heart breaking decision to let Elsa go. As you can imagine it was a very sad and emotional time for them and we didnt want to put it out there until things had settled down. We cannot thank them enough for all the love and support they gave to Elsa whilst she was with them and for having the guts and heart to do what was right for her. That is what fostering is all about how ever much it hurts.
Her new foster home was one of our own foster homes and she was already in love with her and Elsa settled straight in with her new family and fur brother and so Elsa found her furever home, she is still living life to the full and loving everyone she meets.
As Elsa did so much for raising the profile of the rescue and there wasn't one person in the rescue who didnt fall big time for her... we are keeping Elsa as our mascott within the rescue as many asked us to do.
That is the first part of Elsa's new life story ended, but the second chapter begins.
Being Elsa's hoooman slaves comes with certain stipulations... that she is still available to do her ambassador duties for the sick and needy animals, so, we will still have monthly updates and Elsa will be coming to our shows later in the year. Of course Elsa still wants to meet her adoring fans and maybe some that didn't get to meet her last time will get a chance next time.
We are have now set up 'Elsa's Legacy', this will include a new facebook page and will be aimed at helping other animals like Elsa was when she first came to us... not just in our rescue but others too. We would look at getting people to donate small amounts of money, maybe a pound or two every month and more fund raisers for 'Elsa's Legacy' so that the money is already there to help desparate cases and of course we want you to be a part of this, So if anyone has any other ideas of where we can take this idea please use the enquiry form to the right of your screen.
So once again a humongous thankyou to each and every one of you.
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Elsa's Legacy is a group set up for all Elsas followers old and new and will be aimed at helping other animals like Elsa was when she first came to us... not just in our rescue but others too. To do fundraisers for 'Elsa's Legacy' so that the money is already there to help desperate cases and of course we want you to be a part of this.
9th December 2017
Every year Jennie Dhanjal from K9 Search UK calls us with a desperate case that needs nothing short of a Christmas miracle. Every year with hard work and your help our prayers are answered and a life is saved.
This year is no exception. The call to an emaciated dog found curled up on a nature reserve by a member of the public in DY2 was answered by Lin. This poor baby was rushed to Yourvets Smethwick where she was assessed by our vets. Given a body score of 0.5 out of 5 this girl weighs 17.5KG - My God, she should be a minimum of 45kg!
She has had an ultrasound, bloods taken and given intravenous broad spectrum antibiotics and fluids for severe dehydration, her liver enzymes are raised so the vets are having to be careful what she is treated with. She is also having miniscule amounts of wet food regularly and will have more tests when she is stable.
We need everyone who reads this to share everywhere. Someone knows where this girl has come from we need to know where.
We will post regular updates as we know more - please join us in praying for this years Christmas miracle and send healing to Elsa as we have named her.

Meeting Elsa for the very first time
Long nails, poor girl
For anyone that missed out recent post information.
Elsa will hopefully be moving into foster care on saturday as long as she continues to improve but she still has a long way to go in her rehab.
We are not considering any home offers for her until she is fully healed and assessed as to what her requirements in any future home will be as obviously this may change as she becomes fitter.
We will continue with daily updates until Boxing day and then every few days after that.
We are deeply touched by everyones concern and support of our beautiful girl and as soon as she is strong enough will be arranging a public meet and greet for anyone that wants to come and see her and will post information on this page.
Merry Christmas to you all from Team Animal House and our christmas angel of course Elsa.
